I've always enjoyed Columbia Frosty the meat they use is very good. Now they serve beer so it's really cool to have a beer and burger. The servers are really nice and the restaurant is clean. They added a patio in the summer time it's nice to sit outside under the lights.

12/31/2024 visit. Excellent and very friendly service and our group all loved their food. Highly recommended!

Columbia Frosty is exactly what you want from any roadside frosty or diner. The food was delicious and comforting, the staff was welcoming and friendly and the service was so speedy. We had the grilled ham and cheese, zucchini fries and two milkshakes (cookies and cream and orange dream), everything was perfect. There was a walk up order window and outdoor seating as well as indoor seating and a space to order indoors. Really glad we stopped by and will definitely come back when we're in Columbia in the future.

New owners have leveled up this place in every way possible. Everything we have ordered is delicious, great weekly specials, friendly staff, clean environment, quick service, and reliable (delicious) soft serve all year round!!!!

Well, we came here on 11/30. Ordered Fish and Chips, Capriese Sandwich, GoldMiner burger. Always great. But at the last minute I saw they had Stuffed Artichoke Soup. Sounded delicious. Daughter and I split the cup of soup. Tasted great, but within 2 hours she started with stomach cramps and then the vomiting, I didn't start till 2 am. Husband only ate the fish and chips.. he's fine. Haven been exposed to anyone sick and after about 24 hours we are semi back to normal. Just wonder if anyone else had that reaction to the soup? It won't stop us from coming here at all, just wondered.

Awesome burgers!! Great service! Quality ingredients and great portions. We love the classic Gold Rush burger - has all the right toppings. The onion rings are fantastic - perfect batter and perfectly cooked. Thank you, Frosty, for making great food! We come here often.

It's BACK! Our Frosty is awesome again. New owners, great burgers and treats again. Nice new outside patio/dining area. The Bacon-Blu burger is the best ever. Best of luck guys but you'll do great.

Food mainly the. Burgers are phenomenal, juicy, fresh and good size too! Fried super to my liking at crispy perfection, small inside but very clean and nice outdoor seating with water spray for this heat. I know the fried zucchini and onion rings are bomb also and if in the mood try a soft serve. They get food right Service was helpful and nice as well

I'd give this a 4.5. When will Yelp allow 1/2 stars?! Swung by today for lunch. It was cold and rainy (be careful, the paint they used for the ground area outside and the floor is very slippery when wet so keep that in mind and tread lightly) and there were a few tables inside that were occupied. The eating area is small and I could imagine it filling up very quickly during peak season. We ordered inside and were promptly greeted upon arrival. We both got the Gouda burger with plain fries and drinks. Under $40 seems to be the norm for a two person meal so not bad on price. They brought out our drinks and we waited maybe five minutes more for the food. The fries were divine. They were hot and crunchy (very much freshly cooked) and were salted perfectly. I couldn't stop eating them. The burger was devoured quickly by my other half. He said it was great. I agreed, minus the garlic rosemary sauce on mine. I felt the sauce waaaaay overpowered any other flavor on the burger. This was honestly my fault as I was so hungry I didn't really read into it. I also hate rosemary so it doesn't take much for me to notice. We didn't get any ice cream but we saw lots of cones and milkshakes being handed out and they looked good! The service was fast and friendly and I have to say - the girl with the dark, curly hair was constantly going.... Helping with orders, cleaning up tables, checking on us. At one point she sat herself on the floor to clean the stools so yeah, props to her! We will definitely come back!

I was taking a leisurely Sunday drive be-bopping around Calaveras County taking in the country drive and sights. In the town of Columbia, CA, is a Frosty hamburger stand. Hubs and I were ready for our midday nosh. So we stopped. The menu had a cute gold mining theme. We ordered the Gold Miner cheeseburger. We ordered at the outdoor window. I saw the tiny sign stating they only had 2 workers so please be patient. But I had no idea that the wait time was going to be as long as it was. Since it was near 100 degrees outside, I went inside the small air conditioned dining room. The tables could do with a wipe down. But hey with just two workers, I understand the priorities. Anyways lots of folks were in there waiting for their orders as well. And we waited... and waited... and waited some more. The staff had to stop taking orders so they could catch up preparing all current orders. The Frosty road sign states that they have the best shakes this side of the state park. We didn't order one but a family before us ordered over six of them. Oddly though, Hubs and I got our food before them. Our wait time was over 25 minutes. I kinda lost track to exactly how long it took. But the two workers were a flurry of movement all while having a positive attitude and calm demeanor. Ohhh the cheeseburger was a thing of beauty. It had a quality bun and fresh sliced tomato and lettuce. Beautiful coloring. It was tasty. The patty was nicely seasoned. When ordering we asked for the burger to be cut in half and light on the special sauce; they obliged. The dining room at this point was packed with folks waiting for their food and now a line of folks waiting patiently in a makeshift line for them to reopen to continue taking orders. So we took our burger to eat in the car. I barely was able to get a few pics taken before we wolfed down the burger. Also another thing to note is that they have no public restroom.
